Lake Luzerne Community Area

Lake Luzerne Association

Lake Luzerne is a town in southern Warren County, New York. The town is located within the Adirondack Park. Lake Luzerne is west of the city of Glens Falls. The area received its first permanent settlers around 1770. The town of Lake Luzerne was set off from the town of Queensbury in 1792 as the "Town of Fairfield." In 1808, the town changed its name to "Luzerne," and in 1963 to "Lake Luzerne". The Town is now known for much more for than just its beautiful namesake lake: home to the Luzerne Music Camp and the Double H "Hole in the Woods" Camp; whitewater rafting, tubing, horseback riding, cycling, the rodeo, snowmobiling and tons of Adirondack winter activities.
